Design Your Own Dr Martens Boots

It's no secret that I'm a huge Dr Martens fan and I know that lots of you are Dr Martens fans too.

In the most recent addition to their #STANDFORSOMETHING campaign, you now have the chance to have your very own design made into a real life pair of Dr Martens boots.

This is my design, enter the competition via their Facebook app.

Dr Martens Factory Shop : LOVE!

Now we might live out in the sticks where the sheep are loud and the internet isn't great, but we do live near the Dr Martens Factory Shop!

We're regular visitors, it's like a traditional family day out for us and whilst I was working away today, Yan & Betty went shopping..... and didn't they do well?!

Pink Dr Martens Clemency Boots
Pink Dr Martens Clemency Boots £30 (RRP: £115)
For me, a pair of Clemency Boots. I don't have any with this heel, so a new style for my collection.

Dr Martens Aggy Bow Sandal
Dr Martens Aggy Bow Sandals £20! (RRP £120)
For Betty a pair of the lush Aggy Deyn Bow sandals. I bought Biba a pair of when they first came out and they didn't cost me £20!

Dr Martens X Comme des Garçons Sandals
Dr Martens X Comme des Garcons Mens Sandals
For Yan these fab Comme collaboration sandals. I can't find them online but today they were £20!

Not a bad shopping trip I'd say.

New Agyness Deyn for Dr Martens SS13 Collection

I'm loving the new Agyness Deyn for Dr. Martens collection. This second collaboration for two of England's brightest fashion icons draws inspiration from the fiercely individual Harajuku Girls of Tokyo with their mash-up style that is, in full circle, heavily influenced by the British of punk and goth.

Clever, I like it.

Agyness Deyn Dr Martens Collection SS13

Floaty summer dresses, chunky awesome sandals and a cool eye print bag. I know of one girl who will be over the moon that she didn't blow all her birthday money on rubbish come tomorrow when the collection hits the stores.

In Aggy's own words...

"As with the A/W-12 range, I wanted the collection to be accessible. It will appeal to girls who are confident and have a strong personal expression of style and identity in the way that they dress and what this says about themselves."

Dr Martens Agyness Deyn Heart Bag

Biba made the purchase of her dreams in the Dr Martens sale at the weekend. The Agyness Deyn Heart Bag that she's had her eye on since the collection launched.

It's a two-way bag that can be used as a satchel or as a backpack. It took us ages to work out how to route the straps into back pack mode and respect to the guy in the Dr Martens store Birmingham who totally worked it out under pressure from all the females in the store!

Hello Kitty Dr Martens WANTED

This is more of a plea than a regular post as I need some help hunting down a pair of Hello Kitty Dr Martens boots in a size 6. These beauties were a 2010 in collaboration with Sanrio in celebration of Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary so they are obviously long gone in store....

Model Girl has them at the very top of her Christmas list and all help in tracking a pair down would be most appreciated!

What I Wore Wednesday : Aggy Dr Martens and Mint Velvet

I was meant to be at an awards thing last week but with Yan To being away at Paris Fashion Week it simply didn't happen for me. I had an un-glamourous evening at the swimming pool with my bambino's followed by a rather funny G+ Hangout with my pal Nickie instead.

I'd like to thank John Lewis for sending me some clothes for being a finalist in the Most Helpful Blogger category and as I opted for the more casual look rather than a dress that would probably have only been worn once I will be featuring the stuff they sent me over the next few weeks.

So, this was my outfit when I whizzed off to London for a meeting a couple of days ago. I didn't take a pic so I had a play on Photoshop instead!

Dress is actually a jumper but I figure I may as well make the most of my legs whilst I still can. From Mint Velvet at John Lewis,  Cybher™ pink tights from Kaniki and my beautiful new Dr Martens Aggy 1490 boots.

I Love : Dr Martens Drench Boot

I've been trying really hard not to fall hook, line and sinker in love with the new Dr Martens Drench Boot but I'm failing. I blame the rain and the fact that I live in the countryside because if I actually did leave the house on a daily basis I would be in the market for a new pair of wellies.
I'm sad that my beautiful orange Hunters just aren't rocking my world any more - but what is a gal to do when faced with such beauty?

Dr Martens Drench Boots are available in black, cherry red and pink. They are sure to become THE height of summer festival chic. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Disclaimer : This is in no way a sponsored post - because this blog is a sponsored post free zone. I write about stuff that I like. End of.

What I Wore Today : The Girls Weekend

I'm heading down to London this weekend to spend the weekend with my best buddies Ryan and Claire. We'll be relaxing, laughing and knocking back too many cocktails as well as brainstorming for Cybher 2013 and celebrating Ryan's birthday.

I have a couple outfits in the pipeline. One is being made for me by Yan and the other possible is this.
Geekisnewchic what I wore today
Dress :  Vivienne Westwood
Boots :  Dr Martens Darcie from Cloggs
Bag : My new 11" chocolate brown satchel from Leather Satchel Co

What do you think? Geek or chic?

Awesome new Dr Martens Boots from Cloggs

I was over the moon when I was approached by Cloggs to ask if I would like to write a review of their store and as I regular to their site I was eager to oblige.

My shoe of choice? A pair of Dr Martens obviously but not just any old Dr Martens, no the beautiful new super soft chalky colours that I blogged about a couple of months ago... in Blackcurrant...

I've bought many pairs of shoes from Cloggs over the years and I subscribe to their newsletter so that I can take advantage of their great offers.
Now that the girls feet are getting big they are my favourite choice for school shoes (Dr Martens of course) and their service is swift, efficient and you can even pay by Paypal. It doesn't really get any better.

Now to my beautiful Blackcurrant Cartegena Boots... what can I say?

Dr Martens Blackcurrant Pascal Boots

I LOVE them...

Biba, bottom right : Pink patent Dr Martens boots as worn at Cybher £72.99 from Cloggs.co.uk

*Disclosure* I was sent the Blackcurrant Dr Martens boots by Cloggs. I bought the patent pink boots with my own cash:)

Loving Dr Martens New Chalky Colours

If a new season isn't a valid excuse for a new pair of Dr Martens then I don't know what is.
I've fallen head over heels in love with the new chalky colours collection but how on earth am I supposed to choose which ones to go for?

White

Raspberry

Made from super soft 'Cartegena' leather the Pascal 8-eye boots are light, comfortable and perfect for the spring.
